Suspect At Large After Attempted Robbery At Long Island Chase Bank

A suspect is on the loose after an attempted robbery at a Long Island bank.

It happened at the Chase Bank on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in West Babylon at about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. 

The teller did not comply with the man’s demands and the suspect fled the bank, police said. He was last seen entering a waiting vehicle, described as a newer model, light-colored green Subaru.

He is described as being black, in his late teens to early 20s with a thin build and medium height. He was wearing dark-colored winter clothing.
